SAC CYO League Rules/Policies
SAC CYO adheres to the Oakland Diocese CYO Rules
All Play Rule
The first and second entry of each player must be at the beginning of a playing period andhe/she must play the entire periods (except for injury or disqualification). A player may notenter as a substitute in the middle of a playing period unless he/she has completed both oftheir playing periods and substitutes for a player who has also competed his/her playingperiods. There shall be NO penalty for the late child to the game. He/She shall be allowed toplay as long as there is the equivalent time of a playing period remaining in regulation time.
Press Rule

Teams ahead by (10/15) points or more (based on which grade) may not full court press.
First time will be a WARNING.
Second time (and more) will be a technical and an automatic two points for team behind, plus
ball out of bounds for them.

Forfeit Time

A team must begin the game with Four players but may finish with less if need be.

Tiebreaker Rules

Record in Head To Head match-ups. In case of teams splitting the Head To Head matchups (1-1), the winner of the last Head To Head game, wins the tiebreaker.

Record against other teams in finishing order. For Example, if 2 teams are tied for 3rd place, we look at the records against the first place team. If teams have the same record against the first place team, we look at the records against the 2nd place team and so on, until we have determined the tiebreaker.
